So far we have played nine home league games, with 4 wins and 5 defeats, it’s still November and I’m all grumpy about ITFC and I am having these “Am I going to renew my season ticket?” thoughts already!
Saturdays match was far from a classic, we went into the 90th minute 2-1 up but to then leak two goals in injury time and throw away three points in a repeat of what happened at Forest last week was hard to believe, making it five straight defeats in a row. A loss at Burnley away on Tuesday night will make it a No vember.
I was feeling a little bit negative before the game, almost like I couldn’t be bothered to go, even after three weeks without football. Once there I cheered up a little bit and was even quite excited about Richard Wrights third debut for us! What little atmosphere there was at Portman Road was very negative, the buzz of the crowd is certainly not there at the moment and it’s hard to see it improving over the next few weeks.
Things just haven’t improved since PJ has come in and he really needs to make his mark quickly or he’ll be up the road, I personally don’t think that that’s the answer but if we are to be a mid table team let’s do it with young up and coming Ipswich players rather than be a shop window for out of favour loanees.
