Sky Blues. ITFC 3-0 Coventry 19 09 2011

I have always preferred a 3 0'clock kick off on a Saturday afternoon and hate the way that T.V. particularly sky dictate and move matches to suit their schedules, but I’ll make an exception on this fixture.
I was one of the 54,000 participants of “The Great North Run” on Sunday which meant that I could have a leisurely journey up to Newcastle on Saturday, whereas had the match remained at it’s original time there would have been a mad 300 mile dash up the A1 at 5.30pm! Having said that if the fixtures had been a week earlier I could have taken in the away game at Middlesborough on the way up!
Max, on the eve of his departure back to Uni volunteered to be Kev’s “carer” for the night, in what was his first home game of the season, also in attendance was fellow Worcester bound Caitlin who was with her dad celebrating his  __th birthday.
There was a small crowd of 15,650 (with less than 300 of them from Coventry) for the match and the ground looked what it was, half empty. I was very confident of a home win, so much so that I had a bet on Town to win 4-0. We went 2-0 up after 15 minutes and I was thinking that I might have been a tad conservative! As it turned out we only scored one more, we missed a few chances and were also denied by Murphy the Coventry keeper (especially in the 88th minute when he tipped a goal bound shot from Andrews round the post denying me my winnings!
